Hospitals, schools and busy workplaces choose the 12CI414A-LI when they want soft, chewable Chewblet ice from a single countertop unit. It is rated at 425 lbs per 24 hours (70 F air, 50 F water) and keeps 12 lbs in its insulated bin.
This is the lever version of the Symphony Plus 12 series. Staff and guests press a cup against the lever to dispense, which suits bright rooms and clear containers where an infrared sensor can struggle.
The ice-only Symphony Plus 12 series build drops the water valve entirely. That makes the 12CI414A-LI a good match for nutrition rooms and patient floors that only need ice for cups, ice packs or pitchers.
Being air cooled, the 12CI414A-LI uses about 6.0 kWh per 100 lbs of ice and no extra water for condensing. It does release heat into the room, so keep 6 inches (top and right side) clear for airflow.
Follett's ENERGY STAR certification covers this ice-only configuration, which can help with utility rebates.
The 12CI414A-LI fits counters too narrow for a 21-inch dispenser: it is just 16.1 inches wide and 32.5 inches tall. Allow 6 inches of clearance at the top and right side for ventilation.
