The Horizon Elite C1010A is Follett's 29-inch, air-cooled Chewblet ice machine, rated at up to 1,061 pounds of soft, chewable nugget ice a day on 208-230 volt power. It is a high-capacity head for busy beverage programs, hospitals and convenience stores, and it can sit right on top of a bin or dispenser or be installed out of sight and send ice through a tube with Follett's RIDE remote ice delivery.

With RIDE, the C1010A can mount in a base cabinet, on a wall bracket or on a floor stand up to 75 feet from the bin or dispenser, which takes the heat and noise out of the front-of-house. Top-mount, RIDE, Vision, drop-in and Ice Manager applications each use their own Follett installation kit, ordered separately.

Horizon Elite's horizontal evaporator and auger design quarantines and regularly flushes out dissolved solids, so the ice has only about 15% of the TDS of the incoming water. That dramatically reduces scale buildup, stretches the time between descaling, and uses about 35% less water than comparable cube machines. Key ice and water contact parts carry Agion silver-based antimicrobial protection, and the floatless, sealed design inhibits biofilm.
