The Maestro Plus D414ATF is the flake ice version of Follett's 22-inch top-mount head, producing up to 425 pounds of flake ice a day on 115 volt power. Flake ice has a high surface area, so it chills quickly, molds around products and holds containers in place, which makes it a good fit for seafood and produce displays, salad bars, blood banks and clinical labs.
The D414ATF is built for use on ice storage bins only (Follett lists it as compatible with more than 20 of its bins); it is not intended for beverage dispensers. It uses R290 refrigerant and is ENERGY STAR certified.
Inside, a stainless steel evaporator, auger and top bearing ride on an oversized, heavy-duty tapered roller bearing for long, low-maintenance life. The machine flushes itself automatically to remove impurities, has no noisy harvest cycle or defrost, uses about 40% less water than a comparable cube machine, and a full clean and sanitize takes under an hour.
